We provide the Advantage You Need for the College Journey

Our Services

Career Path and Major Exploration

We leverage comprehensive personality, aptitude and skills assessments to help your student find a path to a fulfilling career based on their individual strengths and unique personality. Our goal is for each student to find at least two potential career paths that appeal to them.  We then provide guidance and explore degrees that will put them on the best path to those careers. Highly recommended for the student who still isn’t sure about what they’d like to major in. Just as useful for students who believe they know what career path they’d like to pursue but want reassurance they are making a good choice based on their strengths.

The “Right-Fit” College Selection and Cost Analysis

We work to build an impressive list for your student of the best potential colleges to apply to factoring in their academic record and test score, desired major, sports, geography and culture and goals with data-driven analysis and insights. Often, students already have a wish list of schools they want to investigate. That’s great to start with but we also dig deeper to find additional schools that fit their needs and wants that provide above average financial aid packages. In many cases, private colleges you thought were way out of your price range may actually be more affordable than public colleges because of how they calculate their aid packages.

Financial Fit Analysis and Action Plan

How You Can Pay Less for College

We provide a detailed analysis of the family SAI/EFC based on the actual financials of the parents. Learn the “true” cost of each university on your list as well as what financial aid can be expected or what potential merit aid the college may offer. We’ll provide you important details including your expected costs based on the SAI (Student Aid Index, formerly Expected Family Contribution) number you receive after submitting the FAFSA. We also factor in potential upcoming changes in the family dynamics including job changes or changes in assets. Most importantly, we also examine what can potentially be done to lower your costs, maximize aid and gain an informed understanding of what can you expect to pay for college for your student.

Applications and Admissions Counseling

Let us help you and your student manage the entire college application process, providing structure and organization to what can otherwise be an overwhelming undertaking. In addition to live meetings with their College Advantage consultant, students and parents will use our specialized college planning portal to stay on top of their application process including to do lists, reminders, deadline dates and in depth information for each school the student intends to apply to. Students have a roadmap and a plan for what needs to get done and when. Parents can check in our their student’s progress through the portal without having to “nag” or “bother” their child.
